Students’ perceptions of professional boundaries in higher education

This new article, Professional boundaries between faculty/staff and students in UK higher education: students’ levels of comfort with personal and sexualised interactions, now published in the Journal of Further and Higher Education has been a long time coming. Five years, in fact, as it re-analyses data first published in the National Union of Students and 1752 Group Power in the Academy report from 2018.

It’s been covered in Times Higher Education [paywall], and I’ve also written about it for WonkHE, where I’ve also discussed data from a newer study I carried out of students’ attitudes at a UK university, using the same survey tool.
